Associate
JOB OBJECTIVE:Provide Start Haus customers with the highest level of customer service.
This is achieved by greeting every customer, engaging them in a conversation to
understand what they need, educating each customer on the products and services
the Start Haus has to offer, and suggesting additional complimentary
products/services that would be of value. You are not only selling yourself as
a trustworthy resource, you are also selling the Start Haus as a world class
ski shop. This requires a thorough understanding of the Start Haus Sales
Process as well as the portfolio of products and services we offer.
PRIMARY TASKS:
Provide exceptional customer service
Greet every customer with a smile and
appropriate opener
Identify key customer objective for coming into
the store
Recommend, select and help locate merchandise
based on the customer’s need; recommend additional items that would enhance the
customer’s experience
Maintain knowledge of current sales and
promotions, pricing and payment policies
Ring in sales on cash register for total
purchase, capture customer data, process payment and prepare merchandise for
carry-out (this may include assisting them to their car) if no cashier is on
staff
Write up complete and accurate service tickets
for ski service and stage skis for delivery to the service shop
Answer phone and assist customer directly if
possible, otherwise do a physical handoff to appropriate staff member; if
necessary, take a complete message using the message book
Locate and deliver service items for customers picking
up equipment; confirm customer has paid for service (if not, ring up and
collect payment); file binding slips in box
Stock and maintain store merchandise (i.e., hang
and zip clothing)
Ensure the store is clean and tidy (counters,
dressing room, display racks, bathroom, floors, wash window, garbage, etc.)
SECONDARY TASKS:
Complete special orders and/or warranty forms as
necessary
Check cash drawer at beginning of shift to
ensure appropriate bill denominations
Ensure water jug is filled, cleaned and stocked
with cups
OTHER EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Clean/neat personal appearance

SALARY RANGE: $10/HR - $18/HR
Bootfitter & Sales
JOB OBJECTIVE:Provide Start Haus customers with the highest level of customer service. We are looking for applicants who want to take their ski retail experience to the next level with a top-tier shop. This position will provide ski boot fitting services as well as sales of both soft goods and hard goods.
PRIMARY TASKS:
Provide exceptional customer service
Advanced boot fitting work
Identify key customer objective for coming into
the store
Recommend, select and help locate merchandise
based on the customer's need; recommend additional items that would enhance the
customer's experience
Maintain knowledge of current sales and
promotions, pricing and payment policies
Ring in sales on cash register for total
purchase, capture customer data, process payment and prepare merchandise for
